Warren Buffett Has Now Sold Enough To Build $277 Billion Cash Stockpile To Buy Later

Become A Better Trader And More Informed Investor

The big investors and hedge funds have to file their holdings with the SEC. What you are looking at in the above chart, from GuruFocus, is the percentage of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway portfolio that is now in cash and cash equivalents, like T-bills.

He bought a massive position in Apple stock a few years ago that went up to be over 55% of his account and sold half of it off this year.

So, while the gurus talk about so called “AI,” and Apple has used its Siri talking app to position itself as an “AI” play, Buffett has sold.

Warren Buffett is now sitting on $277 billion in cash, and when you combine that with holdings in corporate bonds, he is around 50% in stocks and 50% in what most investment advisors label as “safety.”

He has NOTHING in Bitcoin or virtual crypto coins, so if the stock market falls at some point in the future and they crash to nothing, instead of being financially destroyed, he’ll be in a position to buy.

He does not jump in and out like a day trader, but has the biggest cash position he has had in over sixteen years. The last time he had a peak cash position was around the time real estate prices were topping out in the 2000’s.

So, when the 2008 housing crisis and bank collapse hit he was buying.

This doesn’t mean the current stock market rally is going to end this week or this month or next month, but it does mean that the most famous long-term investor, who makes decisions based on long-term entry points, has positioned himself not to buy now, but to buy bigger than anyone else in the world later.

Warren Buffett does not make guru predictions - he acts and doesn’t tell you why.

Many crypto gurus mock him and make fun of him, because he has spoken against Bitcoin as an investment and that’s how crypto gurus do.

I would suggest that if you spend time reading a few books about Buffett’s investment career you make a wise investment for yourself.

Don’t listen to what crypto gurus say about one of the most successful investors in history.
