Over the weekend President Trump joined Israel’s war against Iran and bombed that country’s nuclear facilities. It is not clear what will happen next or how long US involvement in this conflict will last, but it has been going on now for over a week and the US stock market had basically been ignoring it.

Of course, now it is all the news.

Every day the financials markets move and it’s usually just a gyration, because the usual daily move doesn’t matter much, it’s the big trends that matter. So, sometimes it is best to just step back and look at long-term charts and think about stage analysis, instead of the news of the day, which is something that social media instant news feeds never do.
