Become A Better Trader And More Informed Investor
I don’t have much to say about the US Presidential election, because I want to focus on the markets and am not looking to be a political commentator.
This newsletter is about trading the markets and making money, but something wild is going on right now.
What you are looking at above are the odds for the election, that people are placing money on, at Predictit.org.
I’ve been following this website, and actually have placed bets on it in the past, since it was launched back in 2014, so I have seen how the bets have gone in previous political cycles.
In the past elections for President the odds have been in a roughly 7% range through the summer and even into election day.
Right now the Republicans have a 62% chance of winning the White House, and there is a 19% gap in the odds.
Never have been the betting odds on Predictit.org been this lopsided for one party to win the White House before election day as they are now.
People are betting on a big Republican win in November.
This is how those odds have moved in the past few weeks.
The debate has hurt Biden and it doesn’t look like he is going to withdrawal from the race.
This is what the odds are showing us.
World leaders overseas are already adjusting to it and are preparing for an incoming Trump administration.
Investors and business people have to be prepared for the high probability of a Republican win this fall.
